Week of hitting KPIs (€1,800 booked, 2 new clients closed) and making a hard decision: cancelled 6 discovery calls to protect capacity and focus on the clients who've already paid. Also ran 100km in February.

    • I cancelled all 6 discovery calls I had scheduled. I already have 2 new clients for March, and I only take on 2 new clients/month; not just because of operational capacity, but because the program is still not where I want it to be in terms of reliability. I want to keep working with clients closely myself. I asked everyone if they'd like to be added to a priority waitlist for April.
    • It was a bit scary. As they say in sales, "Money loves speed." But my clients couldn't book time in my calendar, and I had zero time to work on onboarding, client success management, or the communication plan.
    • I kept thinking about the companies in the book "Small Giants". These are companies that choose to be great instead of big. They all hit a decision point where they could grow unabated, or consciously choose not to, in service of other things: client intimacy, organic growth, or just having a life outside of work. Because growth always brings new demands and new responsibilities. I felt that tension in a tiny way this week. And I'm proud of the decision I made.

Product

  • Reworked the interview prep system. The two tools I give my clients — the Interview Prep Handout and the Mock Interview Guide — now work together properly, with no overlap and a clearer workflow. Built a new Claude prompt to support it too.

  • I wanted to pause new clients this week to redo the onboarding, but agreed to make an exception for one new client who is already interviewing and wanted to focus specifically on mock interviews. We already did 2 mock interviews this week.

Ran 100km in February. It was especially brutal because February only had 28 days!! The last few days: 5km Friday morning + 5km Friday evening, 9km Saturday, 15km Sunday.
