Weekly Update: May 2-9, 2026

Started using CoCareer with clients, built an expenses projection file I can update directly in Claude Code, and added "struggles" section in updates. This week's: exhaustion, the line between coaching and doing the work for them, and letting the pipeline dry up while I was heads-down on product.

CEO / Product

  • Created an expenses projection file. Now I can update projections easily with Claude Code.

Sales & Marketing

  • 1 prospect confirmed he will be joining. We start next week!

Client Delivery

  • Started using CoCareer w/ clients. I am liking it so far. My deployment is not as systematic as I want but it felt right and useful at the moment.

Personal / chiaracokieng.com

  • I created a new blog category, Wronged: Ordinary things with extraordinary grievances. Curated by Chiara, written with Claude. Here's the first one: Hey. It's Me, Egg. I Was Framed. It was so fun to write!
  • Travelled to Bad Harzburg in Lower Saxony and ran 32km with 1,060m elevation. Training for the Mozart Marathon in Salzburg on the 23rd.

What I'm struggling with

  • Short and exhausting week. Trail run for 8h, then back in Berlin, I played tour guide for cousins and a niece visiting for a day. Getting back to work on Wednesday was hard.
  • Struggling with something I'm not sure what to call. Clients need to level up — especially on outreach quality and interviewing — but for many, the gap between where they are and what it takes to get hired is big. We're not converting the opportunities we do get, which leads to disappointment, and too much disappointment leads to burnout. But I don't want to do the work for them. Not answer their written interview questions, not write their messages for them. I want to coach — I think it leads to faster, more durable learning. Reading The Advice Trap and Crucial Influence to think it through.
  • Last month, I was almost entirely focused on product, building capacity. But I also completely stopped LinkedIn posting and sales calls. Need to get back. Next week's priority: a minimum viable marketing system. Something like 3 posts a week in under 5 hours, 2 sales calls a week, and a wait list.
